CRAZY CRAFTERS SNEAK PEEK BLOG HOP

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are giving you a sneak peek from the upcoming 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue. The new annual catalogue is so amazing I can't wait until you have a chance to see the catalogue. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me. Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

I have decided to show you an amazing suite which is in the new catalogue called Eastern Palace. The suite consists of a stamp set, matching dies, speciality designer series paper, stickers, tassels and cardstock. Everything you need to create so many amazing projects.

I love this set so much. It works so well with every colour. I used Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride and Whisper White to create this card. I used a stamp from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set to create a special background.

I love how these thinlits can make almost anything. On this card I have used them to make a flower. I then added a little banner of silver foil to add a little bling.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you enjoy the remainder of the blog hop,
Rosalie

SCREEN CARD

With so many different types of card folds out there, my to-do list is amazingly long. Screen cards were huge on the internet last year and I have finally got around to making my first one. Better late than never they say.

Here is my first screen card which uses Touches of Texture.

My screen card has four sections which are all 7cm wide. This allows for the opportunity to have multiple pictures.

Thank you for joining me today,
Rosalie

TAG TUESDAY #1

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

This blog post is the first in a series that I have named, Tag Tuesday. Tags are a very recent addition to my crafting experience. With a combination of inspiration from an amazing crafter, Bobby Fort, and a wonderful opportunity, I have taken up being a guest on a Swap Design Team for Aussie Crafters. I have had the concept of Altered Tags thrust upon me. So why not make this into a regular Tuesday series, at least for awhile. I hope you have fun checking out my work, that is outside my norm and my comfort zone, but still so much fun.

Here is the first tag I have to share with you. This one is a grungy Dragonfly Dreams tag.

I used one of the thinlits from the Eastern Medallions set to cut out shapes in the Very Vanilla cardstock to allow some of the colour to poke through.

ESAD 2017 RETIREMENT LIST BLOG HOP

Times change, as do products. We are currently saying "Goodbye" to some of our old favourites, to make way for new items later in the year. It is retirement list time!

For you, this may be the time to pick up a bargain or your last chance to grab that set that has been catching your eye for some time. Don't wait until they are gone, check out the store today!

I hope you are enjoying all the gorgeous projects in the ESAD 2017 Retirement List Blog Hop. What an amazing opportunity to have a whole bunch of products highlighted for you!

Today I am sharing one of my favourite stamp sets - Nailed It!

A set for all those males in our lives, although it is also suitable for females as well. I love the images in this set. It can be used for people of all ages, children, teens and adults.

Here is a card I have made to share with you today.

For this card I have used the Nailed It stamp set. Currently, it is only available in wood mount as clear mount has SOLD OUT. So if you are loving this set as much as I do, you will need to get in quick. Once the items are gone, they are gone!

I fussy cut (hand cut) the tools on my card. As the shapes are very simple, they were quick and easy to cut.

I used the Urban Underground Speciality Designer Series Paper, which is also on the retirement list, for the background under the tools. This paper pack is so versatile as the images are not necessarily connected with tools.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you enjoy the remainder of the blog hop.

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #083

It has been awhile since I have joined in on a challenge. This week's theme at the Global Design Project http://www.global-design-project.com/2017/04/global-design-project-083-theme.htmltheme I thought would be an interesting one to join.

This is my entry.

I used Gold embossing as my sparkly bling to suit this week's theme.

I used the Garden In Bloom stamp set to create a golden scene. I then used straight reinkers and a paint brush to colour the flowers and the butterfly. I used Garden Green, Rose Red, Crushed Curry and Perfect Plum for my colours. The background of the picture is created by sponging Soft Sky and then using the splatter stamp from Timeless Textures, in both Soft Sky and stamped off Rose Red. I used this same stamp in Perfect Plum on my card base to give it a little texture as well.

Thank you for joining me today. Feel free to leave a comment.

EASTERN PALACE - SNEAK PEEK

Would you like a little sneak peek of something available to you soon?? I have something fun and exciting to share with you today - the Eastern Palace Suite!!

From the 1st of May you too will be able to purchase this versatile suite. Stamp set, thinlits, Double Sided Paper, embellishments and lots, lots more.

This set can be used in so many different ways, its just up to your imagination.

I have used the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set to create my own fun background using two of the new in-colours from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue - Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide.

Yesterday I had my first play with this set and decided to focus on using the stamps to create amazing patterns. I was crafting with my good friend, Ellen Woodbridge, who also came up with some stunning designs. Take a look at what she made to share with you today.

Don't forget that this suite won't be available to you for a couple more weeks, unless you decide to join - which means you can order it NOW!

CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP WITH BILLIE MOAN

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Billie Moan (aka Rambling Rose Studio). I am so excited to have Billie joining us today, I have been a long-time admirer of hers . You should check out her blog. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me. Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

This is what I was inspired to create.

I didn't have to go back far, to know  know what I wanted to CASE. This is her project that I took my inspiration from. It uses some new products from the upcoming Annual Catalogue which begins on June 1st.

As you can see, I also used some masks and sponge daubers as a base for my card. I used Wisteria Wonder, Peek-a-boo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum for my colours. I then used Timeless Textures to further develop my background and give it a grungy look.

Instead of Billie's amazing bow, I used burlap ribbon to add to the grunge feel. I then created all my elements using dies from the Sunshine Wishes. I then added just a single heart from an enamel shapes pack to finish it off.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you enjoy the remainder of the hop,
Rosalie

BLOOMIN' LOVE

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Today I have a lovely hello card to share with you. We love our friends and we love our family, so why not give them a nice "Hello" every once and awhile. I had a bit of a play with my neglected Bloomin' Heart Thinlits and the matching Bloomin' Love stamp set.

I cut out a heart in Emerald Envy and another in Dapper Denim and layered them to create a shadow effect. The edges are stamped with a small flower stamp from the Bloomin' Love set in Emerald Envy.

Thank you for joining me today,
Rosalie

WASHI WEDNESDAY #9

Happy Wednesday everyone. In the same spirit of last Wednesdays Washi Wednesday I have an Easter theme for you - this time a card.

Today I have created a punch art bunny and used the washi tape for my background. The sentiment for this card is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

The bunny matches with the Curvy Box I made last week. I love how these work together.

Thank you for joining me today,

Rosalie

INTERNATIONAL BLOG HIGHLIGHTS: WEDDINGS

Today I am joining in with the International Blog Highlights. The theme this time is: WEDDING.

Weddings are often an elegant occasion, so with this in mind my main focus is gold embossing.

The medallion is from the Moroccan Nights stamp set, which is the focal point for both my card and curvy keepsake box.

The sentiment for this card "You're Invited" is made from letters in the Brushwork Alphabet, embossed in gold on vellum. I used some gold circles from the Metallic Enamel Shapes to add a little bling to the sentiment.

The thank you favour uses the same stamp from Moroccan Nights, heat embossed in gold and then cut out using the Curvy Keepsake Box thinlits. The "thank you" sentiment on the box is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.

Please note that the 2017 Retirement list was released yesterday. The Moroccan Nights stamp set and the Curvy Keepsake Box thinlits are both in this list. If you are wanting to purchase either of these items, you need to get in quick as they are only available while stocks last. Go to my shop to purchase them now.

Thanks for joining me today, if you love my project please vote for my projects here. If I am lucky enough to be in the top 10, I will be asked to join an International Blog Hop.

EVERYDAY HERO - I'M SAD TO SEE YOU GO

As you may or may not know, today the product retirement list has been announced.

While this is a sad occasion, it is also a great opportunity for you to pick up the products you hadn't got around to purchasing before. This long, so I suggest that you take a look directly at on my shop. All items are only while stocks last, so get in quick before they leave us forever...

One of the many items that are retiring to make way for new products in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue (June 1), is the Everyday Hero stamp set. This has been one of my favourite sets from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue, while I am sad that it is not carrying over, you are able to use this opportunity to purchase your own copy.

This card is not only simple in its nature but it is also quick to make. While it is fun to spend many hours making wonderful projects, it is also great to have some quick ideas up your sleave as well.

Thank you for joining me today. Don't forget to check out the retiring products in my shop by clicking the picture below. Once they are gone, they are gone.

WASHI WEDNESDAY #8

Welcome once again to Washi Wednesday. I hope you have been enjoying this series as much as I have. Today I have a 3D project for you - a Curvy Keepsake Bunny ready for Easter.

As you can see I used the Pop of Pink washi to add a little texture and interest to the bunny's nose and inside its ears. Sometimes a little washi is all we need.

Thank you for stopping by today,

Rosalie

CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP WITH MIKAELA TITHERIDGE

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Mikaela Titheridge. She has such amazing creations.

I loved the simplicity of Mikaela's design in these projects, which I CASEd today.

I used the solid shape from Butterfly thinlits to use as my background, and then the Watercolor Wings stamp set to give a pop of colour to my projects.

I created a matching box with the Window Box Thinlit dies and used the same theme as the card. This time I used the larger butterfly from the Watercolor Wings stamp set for the top of the box.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you enjoy the remainder of the blog hop,
Rosalie
