CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP WITH ANGELA MERIRITZ-REID

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Angela Meriritz-Reid. I am so excited to have Angela joining us today, her work is absolutely brilliant. Make sure you take some time later to check out her blog. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me. Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

This is the card that Angela inspired me to create.

I used the Playful Backgrounds Stamp Set to create the background using similar colours to Angela. I love the boldness of the rich colours. I then stamped the dragonfly from Dragonfly Dreams on vellum and coloured the back of the wings using a Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write marker.

My card today has been made for a beautiful friend and vellum lover that I saw over the weekend at the Melbourne Stampin' Up! event (more on that during the week). Thanks Miss E for introducing me to vellum.

This is the card from which I took my inspiration from. I loved the colours and the layout, so much that I just had to use them.

I hope you take the time to explore all the creations the blog hop has to offer.

JUST A LITTLE COLOUR

Sometimes it is nice just to sit down and colour a little, for some reason I find it relaxing. Maybe it is because it brings back childhood memories of spending time with my sister or maybe it is just because I can shut the world out and not think too much.

I made this card for one of my downlines for her birthday.

Feathery Friends is such a lovely set to use. The images are clear and simple, which makes colouring fun.

Feathery Friends (wood 144032, clear 144037)

To colour the images I used Stampin' Write Markers, teaming up Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo, Peek-a-boo Peach and Daffodil Delight. I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, first in Lemon Lime Twist, then I offset it slightly and stamped in Flirty Flamingo. To give the card a little something special I used fine-tipped glue over some of the images after they were coloured to give them a pop.

INK & INSPIRATION BLOG HOP - 2017 HOLIDAY CATALOGUE

Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. This month our blog hop features products from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue.  You are currently visiting Rosalie Desmond from AUSTRALIA. I hope you like the project I am sharing with you this time.

This may seem a little crazy to some people but I have already started wrapping Christmas presents. I am doing this for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it is much easier to have them wrapped as I purchase them rather than trying to find a hiding space and secondly, my schedule is about to get very hectic for the next few months. So on that note, I have made some gift tags to go on the gifts.

The Merry Little Labels stamp set has been designed with gift tags in mind and four of the stamps  match perfectly with the Everyday Label Punch.

I used gold heat embossing on the "No Peeking" and flirty flamingo ink on the "For, From" on scraps of Very Vanilla cardstock. I then punched them out using the Everyday Label punch and glued a gold foil snowflake, which was cut down so each tag only used a portion of a flake.

The main body of the tags use Flirty Flamingo and Powder Pink card strips 10cm x 5cm and cut them with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch to create the tag shape. I then dry embossed the Flirty Flamingo ones using the Holly embossing folder.

I love the way these turned out. They were quick and simple to make and easy enough to mass produce for multiple gifts.

Products:

Merry Little Labels Stamp Set (144795)

COVERED NOTE PADS

Normal, everyday bits and pieces can always be jazzed up and personalised using stamps, ink and paper.

Back in August I ran a Christmas crafting day and put together some "thank you" bags for each person. Over the next few blog posts, I will show some of the items I created for my guests.

These little note pads have been covered using coloured card stock, and some Whisper White which has been stamped with the Wood Words stamp set.

They only take a few minutes to decorate, but make great and inexpensive gifts.

On these I popped the sentiment "A Note For You", it would be very easy to use an alphabet stamp set, such as Brushwork Alphabet, and stamp the persons name.

I hope I've given you some inspiration to create your own covered notepads.

ESAD 2017 HOLIDAY CATALOGUE BLOG HOP

I hope you are enjoying all the wonderful projects in the ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop.
I can't wait to see what everyone has to share with us today.

You may have come from the wonderful Jessie Holton or be starting the hop here with me, Rosalie Desmond.

I always love a new catalogue, for me it's time to explore new things and try new techniques or folds. So in that spirit I have a Four Fold Card to share with you today. My card uses the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper (p.13), which comes as a 24 sheet pack, featuring music notes and lyrics from popular Christmas Carols in Basic Black and Whisper White.

I used the Hearts Come Home stamp set (p. 39) for the sentiments and all the images on my card.

I found heaps of tutorials on YouTube which show this fold. While it may look wonderful, it is actually simple to put together. Once you have cute your base pieces and scored the card stock, you just glue the smaller base piece to the 1/4" scored end.

Measurements:

Card Bases
Basic Black Card Base first piece 5 1/2" x 11 1/2", scored at 4 1/4", 7 3/4" & 11 1/4"
Basic Black Card Base second piece 2 3/4" x 4 1/4

Layers
1 piece 4" x 5 1/4"
2 pieces 3 1/4 x 4 3/4"
2 pieces 2 1/2" x 4"

Scrap Whisper White for sentiment

Merry Music Speciality DSP, Hearts Come Home stamp set, Everyday Label Punch

I hope you enjoy the remainder of the hop. The lovely Liv Ingle is next

CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP WITH DEBBIE HENDERSON

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Debbie Henderson . I am so excited to have Debbie joining us today, her work is absolutely amazing.

This is the card that Debbie inspired me to create.

I gained my inspiration from this lovely card Debbie made recently. Debbie used what she called a Salad spinner technique to create her background, take a look here for more information.

Although I did not use the same technique (as I don't even own a salad spinner), I used the glossy paper and reinkers, then added some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball to create my background.   I simply dabbed at the ink until I created what I was looking for. I stamped on my background using Basic Black and added my sentiment on a piece of Whisper White, the same as Debbie and used the same colour base and layer as it ties the card together. Sometimes our inspiration and what we end up with look totally different.

I used the Hearts Come Home stamp set, which is actually a sneak peek from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue which goes live on September 1st. The sentiment is stamped on a Whisper White stitched oval.

Hearts Come Home (145416)

Measurements:

Whisper White Card Base 29.6 x 10.5cm, scored at 14.8cm
Basic Black Layer 14 x 9.5cm
Glossy Paper Layer 13.5 x 9cm

Products:

Hearts Come Home (145416)
Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372)

CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP - HOLIDAY CATALOGUE SNEAK PEEK

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. Today we are sharing some sneak peeks from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue which is available from the 1st of September. I hope you enjoy the hop and we don't grow your wish list too much!

The cards I am sharing with you today are quick and simple, using the Carols of Christmas stamp set and some new designer series paper - Merry Little Christmas.

I find that sometimes simple is best. Keeping our design clean cut and the number of products we use to a minimum, can still look stunning and shows that we don't need to own the whole catalogue (although that is the dream!)

The Merry Little Christmas DSP uses Basic Black, Old Olive and Whisper White in its images. This DSP is so versatile, as many of the pieces can be used well beyond the Christmas theme, which gives as more bang for our buck!

I hope you have been enjoying the blog hop, don't forget to visit them all and leave some love in the comments section.

Until next time. Thank you for stopping by,
Rosalie

INK & INSPIRATION BLOG HOP - INSPIRATIONAL PICTURE

Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Rosalie Desmond from AUSTRALIA. I hope you enjoy my project that has been inspired by a lovely picture of a Peony flower.

This is the picture that I took inspiration from.

Not only did I utilised the image of the flower but I also used the colour combination to create my card.

I stamped the Peony Flower from the You've Got This stamp set in powder pink to create a background. The main flower image was coloured using blender pens with powder pink, melon mambo and then daffodil delight in the centre. I used an oval piece vellum to place the main focal flower on to soften the image and allow the background to still show through.

I hope the projects you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day. You are currently visiting (your name). Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. You don't want to miss any!

STAMPIN' DREAMS BLOG HOP - FAVOURITE IN COLOUR

Welcome to the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. This month's theme is favourite in-colour. You are currently visiting Rosalie Desmond from Australia. I hope you enjoy my project.

Just choosing one colour is almost impossible, so I decided to use my top three favourites - Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Peek-a-boo Peach.

I used floral stamps and sentiments from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set. The sentiment has been layered up using a sneak peek product, Everyday Label Punch, from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue which is available from the 1st September 2017.

To create the layers for the sentiment, I cut the same shape in Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst using the punch. I then cut the two coloured parts in half and glued them as layers adding a slight boarder for each one.

To finish off my card I used one of the floral outline stamps from the set and stamped using Berry Burst ink on Berry Burst card stock to give the card a little more interest and dimension.

I hope the projects you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you and brightened your day. You are currently visiting Rosalie Desmond. Please see the list below and hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see what everyone has to share with us.

Thanks,
Rosalie

INK & INSPIRATION BLOG HOP - WATERCOLOUR

Today I am participating in the Ink & Inspiration Design Team Blog Hop. This months theme is : Watercolour. You are currently visiting Rosalie Desmond from Australia.

I used some glossy paper with some reinkers and Aqua painters to create a background. I wanted the colours to remain true, so I allowed the background to dry naturally. This process can be sped by using a heat gun on number 1, however, it does change the colour a little.

I then used stamps from Butterfly Basics in Black  Memento. The sentiment "hello" is from the Flourishing Phrases. As a final touch, I brushed on some wink of stella to the cut out butterfly image.

Measurements:

Thick Whisper White Card Base 29.6 x 10.5cm, scored at 14.8cm
Basic Black Layer 14.3 x 9.5cm
Glossy Paper 13.8 x 9cm
Scrap Whisper White to stamp the butterfly on

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the blog hop,
Rosalie

ESAD FAVOURITES FROM THE 2017/18 ANNUAL CATALOGUE BLOG HOP

I hope you are enjoying all the wonderful projects in the ESAD Favourites from the 2017/18 Annual Catalogue Blog Hop.

I wonder what products will be everyone's favourite??

You may have come from the wonderful Kathryn Ruddick or be starting the hop here with me, Rosalie Desmond.

With so many amazing products it is so hard to decide which is my favourite, so today I will share my favourite at the moment!

I have actually combined two of my favourites - Climbing Orchid and Sheet Music stamp sets. I love the way these cards turned out and the way the two sets combine.

I love the new mini chevron ribbon, it is so soft and easy to use, so I have placed a small piece on the Bermuda Bay card. I love the look of the coloured ribbon on top of the burlap.

For this one, I don't currently have any Melon Mambo ribbon so I had to get creative. I cut a small strip of cardstock to give a similar affect.

You may be wondering what ESAD is?

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have fun and enjoy hopping around the whole hop. Next you will find the lovely, Linda Whalley.
