Crazy Crafter Blog Hop with our special guest Brian King

Yay Brian is joining us on a blog hop! It's like having extended family come and visit. We truly love it when Brian comes and joins the Crazy Crafters.

Time for another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop.

This month we are all excited to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Brian King. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me.  Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

While perusing Brian's blog looking to see which project I want to CASE, I came across this stunningly bold card.

Brian's Card

My Card

This style of card is a great way to use up scraps while creating something interesting.

Craftroom Makeover - Part Two

As you may know from Friday's post, I am currently fixing up my craft area.

I have been doing a little creating to decorate my space. Today's project is a small vase with some paper flowers. The vase was originally clear, so I added paint to the inside to give it my desired colour. I used the same paint that I used on the box on Friday.

The paper flowers were made using two sizes of scallop punch and inking the edges in Bermuda Bay.

This little vase gives me a little pop of colour in my area, and I don't have to remember to add water to keep the flowers alive.

Craftroom Makeover - Part One

Colours make me happy!

I have been doing a tidy, organise and decorating of my craft space. After 2 and a half years of no planning and just happening, I decided it was time to get organised and sort out this area once and for all.

I don't know about you, but my space had turned into a mess. Piles of scrap cardstock everywhere, half finished projects and crafting items not in their place. It was making it hard to craft, harder to run classes and more importantly, it was making me unhappy. A couple of weeks ago I decided it was time for a change.

I chose a colour theme - my favourite, Bermuda Bay. I hunted around for some paint that matched, so I could get decorating.

Today's project is just one of the pieces I now have to decorate the room. It was a plain kraft box. I painted it my desired colour and then set about decorating.

Using the Butterflies Thinlits and some silver glimmer paper, I made the butterfly. The antennae are made from wire, two designer vintage buttons and rhinestones.

And they lived happily ever after...

When we think of marriage, we think of romance. What is more romantic, than sitting next to your love watching the sunset together. With that thought in mind, I made this card to celebrate an upcoming wedding.

I used old olive, daffodil delight and tangerine tango to create my sunset scene. I used the sentiments from Big News and the couple and love hearts from Beautiful Ride.

You are, brilliant! - #GDP030

Today's inspiration comes from this weeks challenge at Global Design Project. The lovely Teneale Williams created this sketch.

Here is my entry.

#sweetlilthings

I used the Sweet li'l things DSP (designer series paper) with the Be the Star stamp set. I just love how the combination of watermelon wonder and very vanilla go together with just a touch of tip top taupe behind the sentiment.

Make sure you take a look at the other entries in this week's challenge for some more creative inspiration.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our special guest Dawn Griffith

Today we are hopping along with the fabulous Dawn Griffith.

We are all excited to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Dawn. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me.  Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

Once again, there was so many projects to choose from. If you haven't checked out Dawn's blog, I suggest that you do. She is not only talented but she also has amazing video tutorials. I decided to CASE one such brilliant card, which is on her blog, complete with an instruction video. Today's inspiration came from her corner pop up card that she made recently.

I had never seen this style of card before and loved it so much, that I knew it had to be the one to choose. Thank you so much Dawn, for your easy to follow tutorial.

I decided that No Bones About It stamp set would work well with this card design. I teamed it up with Go Wild DSP (double sided paper).

I created some paper for the base of my card by using whisper white cardstock and stamping the dino footprints in Tip Top Taupe and Black.

I popped a white panel on the back and dressed it up just a little. A thought it was a great place to write a message on.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of the Crazy Crafters blog hop,

Building a candle

Crafting is not just about card making. Sometimes I like to dress up some ordinary household items and make them a little special.

I used the Botanical Builder Framelits and the Botanical Blooms stamp set to make these cute flowers. I combined them with some burlap ribbon and placed them on a white candle to create a "just a little something" present for someone special.

Today's blog post will be a featured project on Kylie Bertucci's Crazy Crafter Team Project Highlights from 6.30pm AEDT. If you like my project, please follow the link and vote for me. Don't forget to check out the other amazing projects from just a few of the Crazy Crafters.
